New Heart Hong Kong Tour

It's gonna be a long long trip... Hopefully we don't have to do a lot of instrument moving la... I think that is the toughest part and it will wear u out before u can rehearse... But I'm definitely looking forward to it!

Dream on - Kelly Sweet

Heard this song back in last year when I was waiting at Border's for Nat getting off work. Pretty good voice. Really took me back to my choir's years.

Thursday, September 27, 2007

Heard a pretty good joke the other day, either though I was already told that it was a joke.

I was at my design class and the prof had an English PHD talking about how to write a report. Then he said that we cannot use a preposition to end a sentense. Here comes the story:

A freshman is walking inside the Harvard University. It is his first day and he wants to know where is the restroom. So he asked a guy, who is a professor,

"Excuse me, where is the restroom at?"
"This is Harvard! We don't end a sentense with a preposition!"
"Oh! Ok! Let me try that again."

Then he said, "Where is the restroom at, jerk?"

Lab Report + Design Project

Still cannot concentrate on my school assignment... School has started for 2 weeks and I already have a lab report due next week. Usually they can be done in 24 hours. But in the past few days, I spent 0 hours on it... just can't focus. And then there is this Senior design project that we have to follow up every week. People is starting to push me since I am the team leader. For a second I thought I can just boss around and do nothing. But then that's not like me. I just want to finish this project, although I don't like it that much in the first place. I would rather build something that needs for us to start from scratch. We are going to build a device that will automatically mix epoxy and pour the epoxy into some cups under vacuum. This is for Siemens Power Generation. I doubt if we can finish. It's not that hard if we push a little and get all the components together on time. The problem is I just don't feel like it. A project I like would be to build a device that will give an optimal speed limit and display it along the highway so people can follow and no one will contribute anything to a jam. Or a device that will guide students to park so we don't have to do mary go around to look for a parking space at school (trust me, education won't work. people won't listen. and UH is not going to ease the problem, not without raising tuition fees) Or a device that will stack chairs and spread the chairs for worship so people don't have to take care of them every week. I DON'T KNOW... but the project is set. I should just live with it.

Sports for Charity is almost over, while we had our last game yesterday. Of course we lost again, 105:51. Pretty bad. And then we even had to tell the other team that Uncle Alfred is going to offer us a sushi lunch if we can get over 50. Turn out our opponent passed the ball to our team in the last 35 seconds to get us over 50. It was funny yet... well... We had fun.

This reminds me of 2001 when Yip's went to Russia and we were all wearing green that day, playing against some guys. It took us so long to break the silence. The game was never finished since the other team lost interest. Hahahaha, anyone remembers?
